Animoca Brands has shared its latest unaudited financial report. The company, which owns games like The Sandbox and Phantom Galaxies, stated that it now holds $1.5 billion in crypto and blockchain gaming assets.

  • According to an investor update released on June 6, Animoca Brands’ bookings and other income were $148 million for Q4 2021 (ended December 31) and $573 million for the four months ended April 30.
  • Bookings include token and NFT sales, as well as other non-blockchain activities. Other income includes gains and losses from investments and digital assets holdings.
  • The company’s investment portfolio, which is valued at $1.5 billion, spans 340 companies as of April 30.
  • Animoca Brands holds third-party tokens of $659 million, with its own digital assets reserves being worth $4.2 billion.

Founded in 2014, Animoca Brands owns companies like Gamee, The Sandbox, nWay, and Blowfish Studios. Back in January, it raised $360 million to boost its acquisition and product development strategies. This brought the company’s valuation to $5.4 billion, which is more than double the $2.2 billion mark from October 2021.
