Apex Game Studios is a new company founded by Dead or Alive creator Tomonobu Itagaki. The team will be making AAA Web3 games, including the upcoming MMORPG for PC and mobile titled Warrior.
Itagaki said that the studio’s goal is to solve the current issues of GameFi, including performance, security and sustainability. “My Studio focuses on producing high-quality and immersive 3A Web3.0 games,” the developer said in a statement.

That’s what Apex Game Studios wants to achieve with Warrior, combining fun gameplay and the high-quality production of AAA titles with a blockchain-based economic system.
However, there are still not many details about the studio’s debut game. Warrior is an MMORPG, which is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2023. Tomonobu Itagaki has over 30 years of experience in game development. He is best known as the creator of Dead or Alive, a long-running series of fighting games. Itagaki also directed the Ninja Gaiden reboot.
